Rewriting it in Rust™

ACM Discord

Joshua Nelson

We'll start with common memory bugs in C and see how they can be avoided. We'll move on to how memory corruption is addressed in C++, and the benefits and limitations there. The talk will include live demos, buggy code, and lots of segmentation faults. Finally, the talk will culminate by Rewriting it in Rust™ and showing how Rust catches your errors at compile time.
