Intro to Python

Swearingen 2A19

Joshua Nelson

ACM is hosting a talk on how to use Python for common tasks. Joshua Nelson will be walking through how to use Python by demonstrating a program that searches GroupMe chats using its web API. Attendees will learn the basics of Python as well as common libraries, patterns, and language features that make Python stand out from other languages. No prior Python experience is needed, but basic knowledge of programming in Java or another imperative language is recommended.

Beginners and experts alike are welcome to join. We look forward to seeing you!
